In "Guitar, Book and Newspaper," Juan Gris blends Cubism with a touch of classicism, using a muted palette of greys, blacks, and whites. This still life composition centers around a guitar, a book, and a newspaper, all rendered with precise geometric abstraction. The subtle interplay of light and shadow, combined with Gris's distinctive use of overlapping shapes, creates a sense of depth and harmony. This artwork is a testament to Gris's ability to transform everyday objects into a cohesive and captivating visual narrative.

Display & Care
Display & Care
We want you to enjoy your fine art print for many years to come. Follow these simple tips to preserve its beauty and display it like a pro:
Caring for Your Print
- Keep Away from Direct Sunlight: Hang your print in a well-lit room but away from direct sunlight to preserve its vibrant colors and prevent fading.
- Maintain a Dry Environment: Avoid placing your print in humid areas like bathrooms or kitchens to protect it from moisture.
- Dust Gently: Use a soft, dry cloth to lightly dust your print occasionally. Avoid cleaning sprays to prevent damage.
Framing Your Artwork
- Acid-Free Mats Are Key: Opt for acid-free mats when framing to prevent yellowing and keep your print in pristine condition.
- UV-Protective Glass: Use UV-protective glass to shield your artwork from sunlight and maintain its vibrancy.
- Floating Frames: For a modern touch, floating frames create space around your artwork, making it stand out beautifully.
Golden Ratio Borders
Every print includes carefully calculated borders based on the Golden Ratio. These borders enhance the artwork’s harmony and ensure it doesn’t come into direct contact with the frame, offering both aesthetic and practical benefits.
Hanging Tips
- Eye-Level Hanging: Hang your artwork so the center is at eye level—around 57 to 60 inches from the floor—for optimal viewing.
- Create a Gallery Wall: Display multiple prints as a gallery wall for a cohesive and stylish look. Keep even spacing between each piece.
- Lighting and Placement: Find a spot with gentle lighting that complements your artwork. Avoid excessive direct sun or heat to ensure longevity.
